Making a Difference, One Heart at a Time.
Eugene Cho is a Korean American student, singer, and aspiring community leader entering her senior year at La Cañada High School. She believes that every person has a story worth hearing and that even the smallest act of kindness can make a lasting difference. Guided by compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to serve, Eugene is committed to using music and meaningful human connection to inspire hope and strengthen her community.
An accomplished student with a passion for learning, Eugene actively pursues opportunities to lead, volunteer, and make a positive impact. Among her achievements, she is a member of La Cañada High School’s Chamber Singers and was also a member of the school’s wrestling team, where she learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and encouraging others to perform at their best. These experiences have shaped her into a collaborative team player who believes that true leadership is measured not by individual success, but by the ability to inspire, support, and help others reach their full potential.
Inspired by the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, Eugene is developing I Sing For Humanity, a community initiative that combines conversation, compassion, and music to create meaningful moments of connection. By meeting people from all walks of life, listening to their stories, and singing a song dedicated especially to them, she hopes to remind others that they are never alone and that every life has value. Through this mission, she seeks to build bridges across generations, cultures, and communities while encouraging others to lead with empathy and kindness.
Looking toward the future, Eugene hopes to pursue a career that allows her to continue serving others through leadership, education, and community engagement. She believes that success is not defined by titles or accomplishments, but by the positive impact we have on the lives of others. Her goal is to inspire her generation to embrace compassion, live with purpose, and discover that one conversation, one song, and one act of kindness can create a ripple of hope that reaches far beyond what we can imagine.
